Lieutenant 6th Native Infantry. Died in the First Gurka War at the Battle of Nalapali (Khalanga) at Fort Kalanga (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ Gurkha_War).

To the memory of Major General Sir Robert Rollo Gillespie, KCB, Lt O'Hara 6th NI, Lt gosling, Light Battalion, Ensign Fothergill, 17th NI, Ensign Eillis. Pioneers killed on 31 October 1814

His military record (IOR/L/MIL/9/258/44) states that:
He produced a statement that he was an Ensign in Lord O'Neill's Company in the Antrim Militia date 23 January 1803. He arrived in India on the EIC ship the Calcutta, joining the Bengal Infantry.
