Margaret was taken from the Madras Female Asylum between 1829 and 1838.by Quarter Master Sergeant Willox. Her mother was unknown and her father had died.
There is a James Willox (1st Regiment of Foot) who was pensioned on
25 Jun 1829. (Source: British Army Pensioners Abroad by Norman K. Crowder, TNA WO/120 Vol 35 p.47)

There is a James Willox buried in 1854 (IOR/N2/439/33). There is also a James Willox (probably his son in 34th Foot (Cumberland) who receives a Medal in the India Mutiny
